About this policy
AllPaws is maintained by Xiaohan Yuan. This policy describes version 1.2 and this website. Earlier versions may contain advertising technology and have different practices; the earlier policy remains available in the archive linked below.
Photos and records stay on your device
Version 1.2 processes pet recognition on your device and stores pet profiles, photo references, journal entries, weights and recognition information locally. It does not upload these records or pet identity features to an AllPaws server. Photo originals remain in your system photo library. No AllPaws account is required.
Permissions and Apple services
Photo access enables discovery within the access you allow. Selected photos can be added manually. If images are stored in iCloud, Apple’s photo services may retrieve them under your system and network settings. Reminders access is requested when you explicitly add a future event. Apple services and device backups are governed by your Apple settings and Apple’s policies; AllPaws does not provide its own cross-device sync service.
Your choices
You can correct photo associations and manage or delete local records in the app. Removing a pet association does not remove the original system photo. Clearing local app data is different from deleting data in Apple services or backups. If you are troubleshooting an upgrade, contact support before uninstalling or clearing data.
Exports and support email
Exports and sharing happen only when you choose them. Default exports contain structured records and photo-reference metadata, not photo originals. Protect exported files and share them only with trusted recipients. If you email support, we receive your email address and any content you send to respond to your request. You can request deletion of support correspondence by email, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
No advertising or analytics SDKs in version 1.2
Version 1.2 does not contain advertising, advertising tracking or third-party analytics SDKs. This statement does not describe the behaviour of earlier app versions.
This website
This static website is delivered through AWS. Requests necessarily include technical information such as IP address, requested URL and browser information for delivery and security. This site does not use analytics scripts, advertising pixels, cookies or local storage, and its fonts and image assets do not load from third-party websites. Following an App Store link or sending email uses the destination provider’s services and privacy practices.
